Transact Pro expands the functionality of its mobile application and offers its users to purchase QR code tickets for Riga public transport
Transact Pro, a leading Latvian non-banking financial service provider and electronic money institution, as well as the largest non-banking Mastercard payment card issuer in the Baltics, after signing a cooperation agreement with RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” has expanded the functionality of its mobile application and now its users are able to buy QR code tickets and register trips in any public transport of Rīgas satiksme.
A code ticket is a method of payment in “Rīgas satiksme” public transport (tram, trolleybus, bus), which allows to make payments for the trips with a smartphone in online mode. The code ticket will work parallel with the existing e-ticket system. In order to use the code ticket, the customers will have to install a Transact Pro mobile application on their smartphones. Customer can purchase up to 10 single (1 trip) tickets at a time in the application.
The Transact Pro mobile app continues to expand the functionality of its capabilities, and the next realized step is to offer clients to purchase public transport ticket in a convenient and fast way. “We are pleased with the extension of the application's functionality, which allows users to purchase a QR code ticket for Riga public transport in three clicks and enjoy the ride.
